Community Prosecution Unit
The MPD works closely with community organizers, aldermen and the Department of Neighborhood Service (DNS) to target quality of life issues and help address long term issues specific to the district.
The CPU team walk the neighborhood with aldermen and community organizers to make both businesses and residents feel safe and educate the community on safety and security.
Crime Prevention through Environmental Design
MPD officers conduct surveys for businesses to assist with preventing burglary and other crimes on their property.
The National Night Out event is a community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and camaraderie to make the neighborhood a safer, more caring place to live. District Three hosts the largest National Night Out event in Milwaukee with over 1,500 attendees.
